Who I am
I was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana. I started taking care of a baby at age eight, when my sister was born. I began babysitting at twelve and continued into high school. I moved to Seattle at 19. Helping and caring for others (any age) has always been a big part of my life. After having my first child, I joined a mother’s group in my Ballard neighborhood. It was common for me to have a couple babies over weekly so a parent could catch a nap, shower or run errands. It always stuck with me how exhausted we all were. We had never heard of a postpartum Doula! After the pandemic, I spent a few months in Montana doing a little soul searching. I took my love for babies, (my own are grown) my empathy for the sleep deprived parent, combined with being a night owl... and the magic was born. I started a year ago and I’ve never looked back. When I’m not taking care of babies, I love spending time with my daughter, as well as frequent travels to the state of Montana. I am a published author (have written 3 books) artist and photographer.
